When Clara Gardner learns she’s part angel, her entire life changes. She now has  a purpose, a specific task she was put on this earth to accomplish, except she doesn’t know what it is. Her visions of a raging forest fire and a mysterious boy lead her to a new high school in a new town but provide no clear instruction. As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never though she’d have to make—between the boy in her vision and the boy in her life, between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil… When the fire from her vision ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?”

My Rating: 4.5 / 5

I have read a lot of books that have to do with part angels, and supernatural teenagers, but this one was different. It wasn’t all about Clara finding out what she is, it let the reader find out what her species is and what their jobs are. It doesn’t copy any other books I’ve read, so I was really excited about that. Since I just finished reading the Hush, Hush series, I was worried that this book would just be blah in comparison, but it holds it’s own. I hope that I can find the next book in this series as I have fallen in love with the characters and the setting, thanks to Cynthia Hand’s amazing description. This book isn’t just about supernatural teenager doing as she was meant to, it teaches the reader that in life there are always going to be decision to make, and even though they seem ridiculously hard, you still have to make them.
THANK YOU CYNTHIA HAND FOR TEACHING US THAT EVEN THOUGH IT’S HARD TO DO, SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART!

Thanks for reading,
Love,
Sidny ♥♪♫
