Book Review: Twelfth Grade Kills by Heather Brewer

Title: Twelfth Grade Kills
Author: Heather Brewer
Pages: 325
Publisher: Penguin Group Inc.
Year Published: 2010

"Vlad's running out of time. The Elysian Council has given him only weeks to live, and that's if the Slayer Society doesn't kill him- along with the citizens of Bathory- first. Then there's the issure of Vlad's father, who may or may not still be aliveafter all these years. Oh yeah, and that tiny detail in the Pravus prophecy about Vlad enslaving Vampirekind and the human race. So much for college applications."
"In this epic finale to Heather Brewer's heart-stopping Chronicle of Vladimir Tod, dark secrets will be revealed, old friends will become enemies and warm blood will run cold. Just be careful it isn't yours."

My Rating: 9/10

So this is an ending of another lovely series. This book although interesting, was not a good series ender in my opinion. I would have liked to be completely caught up in the world of Heather Brewer's mind but many times I couldn't get "into" the story line or even relate at all with the charcters. Which is hard to do when the main character is a half-vampire but it shouldn't be quite that hard. I felt very distant from Vlad until the end. I still enjoyed the humor that Heather Brewer uses even in dire situations. The ending was humorless but that made sense because of the content. I would suggest this book to those who enjoyed the rest of the series and love to laugh of course.
THANK YOU HEATHER BREWER FOR AN EPIC SERIES FILLED WITH HIGH SCHOOL STRUGGLES!

Spoiler: Twelfth Grade Kills by Heather Brewer

This book wasn't what I expected and to be honest i was a little disappointed. I had hoped that this book would be as good as the last and while it was decent it certainly wasn't the best out of the series. The plans of the "group" were just stupid and unguided. I hated the fact that Vlad's dad was part of it but I kinda had that figured by half way through. The characters weren't as developed as they may hgave been. My favorite part was the battles near the end. It gave such another view of Vlad's ever changing world not to mention his power. HOLY MAN (!!!!!) Vlad has become quite the man *wolf whistle*  Let's discuss some characters.

Characters:
Vlad:
Oh boy! Our little Vlad is all grown up and ready to face the real world. The world filled with Slayers, vampires, blackmailers and lovers. Vlad has turned into the man who knows how to rule, how to tell right from wrong and makes woman love him. I felt a bit distant from Vlad this time around, but he still has a great love for Snow. Sigh love at first bite... literally. He made me proud when he commanded everyone to forget and move on. On an end note thank god he gave up Meredith!

Snow: I didn't believe for a minute she was dead that would be the worst ending ever!

Otis: I felt just horrible when everyone expected Otis to be a murderer. I mean a man who wears a top hat and loves to teach can not be a murderer. No one would take him seriously anyways.

Nelly: I cried quite a bit when she died. At first I was in complete denail. No way someone would kill Nelly, the best cookie maker on earth. And then I just sobbed.

Henry: What a sweet drudge! Him and October are made to be yay!

Joss: At times he stretches everyones patients but he turned out to be a decent guy.

Tomas: What a prick? I can't believe that he used Vlad's mother just in order to become the Pravus. I wanted to constantly yell at Vlad and tell him to stop being stupid for thinking his father was so innocent!

Vikas: I was shocked and depressed by the fact that Vikas turned out to be in cahoots with Vlad's dad. What is this bull? I wished at that moment that I could yell at Heather Brewer, but she did it to shock everyone and boy did that work!

Favorite Lines/Parts:
♥Pg. 17
"Vlad felt oddly hollow. It was almost as if a friend had been stolen from him before he'd had the chance to say goodbye.
A horrible, evil, maniacal friend who wanted nothing more than to see Vlad suffer."

♥Pg. 101
"Vlad wiped her lip gloss from his lips with the back of his hand. Vampries, after all, don't sparkle."

♥Pg. 183
"He and Henry had had a good long laugh about the costumes they were going to wear this year, and not even Principal Snell grove was going to rob them of their good time. Henry was dressed ina cheesy black nylon cape- one he'd borrowed from Vlad- and had his hair slicked back and spray painted black, complete with a widow's peak. He was every bit a stereotypical old-school Hollywood vampire, and Vlad was his companion, his slave, his drudge."

♥Pg. 200
"He was better off not knowing.
Or, more accurately, Joss's face was better off without Henry's fists knowing."

♥Pg. 248
" 'You've been holding out on us, Henry. I had no idea you were so full of great ideas.'
Henry held up his taco- formerly Vlad's- and grinned. 'Little-known fact, gentlemen. Tacos are the food of genius.'"

♥Pg. 252
"It had to work! They had totally faked his own death.
He owed Henry about a zillion tacos."

♥Pg. 317
" 'Absolutely. In fact... I was a priest at that church many moons ago.' Something dark and strangely full of bemusement cross Otis's eyes then, and Vlad thought back to the stories that upperclassmen had passed down to freshman, about the vampire priest in the church who'd  drained his congregation dry years and years ago, before Bathory High was a school. He parted his lips to ask if the rumors were true, but Otis cut him off with a smirk. 'But that's a story for another time.' "

♥Pg. 319
"Whose idea was it that forcing people to wear giant muumuus and cardboard squares on their heads and then parade in front f people was the way to celebrate surviving thirteen years of school anyway?"

Book Review: Eleventh Grade Burns by Heather Brewer

Title: Eleventh Grade Burns
Author: Heather Brewer
Pages: 309
Publisher: Penguin Group
Year Published: 2010

"Things have taken a darker turn for the half-human teenager with an appetite for blood. Joss, a vampire slayer and Vlad’s former friend, has moved back to Bathory. A mysterious and powerful new vampire, Dorian, appears with a shocking secret and an overwhelming desire to drink Vlad’s blood. And Vlad’s arch enemy, D’Ablo, has a sinister plan to eliminate Vlad once and for all. With death threatening from every angle, Vlad will have to use every ounce of his skill and training to survive, but nothing can prepare him for what awaits him in the end." - amazon.com

My Rating; 10/10

I was starting to doubt Heather Brewer, worrying that her series might end up like most other peoples, but she proved me wrong with this book. This book was heartfelt and full of passion. Readers learn more about Vlad from the way he acts than what we are told. I truly felt a part in this story, as if I were there just on the side lines watching it all play out. I didn't guess what was going to happen at all. And I didn't feel disappointed at the end. The ending was the best one out of this series so far. I was shocked, happy and upset at the same time. It's important to me that an author ends the book at least as well as the started it, if not better.
THANK YOU HEATHER BREWER FOR PROVING ME WRONG!

Spoiler: Eleventh Grade Burns by Heather Brewer

This was an amazing book in the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series. Heather Brewer truly out did herself. I didn't think she would come back to such a great book, after the last two books disappointed me. I loved this book. It made me laugh and cry just like a 10/10 book should. It also had me shocked by the end. I honestly thought that Vlad's father was dead. And when it said he was there, alive (possibly) I gasped loud enough to wake up most of my house hold and then... I swore like I've never sworn before. My grandmother would be so disappointed, but isn't that how you know its  a good book, when you swear at the end because its so frickin' shocking? Maybe that's how I should start rating things... Naw. I have never been so happy while reading a book and I truly enjoyed it, now let's talk about characters.

Characters:
Vlad:
Vlad has grown so much during this series. When we first met him he was this innocent 8th grade boy and now he's going to be a high school senior, finally a man. He now thinks what is right and doesn't let his mind jump to conclusions. He gave Meredith and realized it was for the best. I was so proud of him for releasing Snow. That took a lot of guts. I hope Vlad doesn't die, but then why would the series end at 12th grade? Shoot.

Otis: Otis has been beside Vlad since the start and is always there for him. I was worried about him dying and so happy when he didn't. He is a lovely man, and with his purple top hat, my dream uncle. In this book we see Otis take on the role of dad. He works to protect Vlad at any costs.

Nelly: I can hardly wait for her and Otis to be married :)

Henry: Henry has stepped back as a drudge, he's there but we don't hear as much about him anymore. I'm happy that Vlad didn't "free" him. I think that would have only hurt Henry's feelings. But what's the deal with ditching Melissa? Men *eye roll*

Joss: I really did think that Joss and Vlad could be friends. I thought Joss might realize that Vlad isn't some prick, but just an overall nice guy.

Vikas: This man always makes me smile, his accent and the way he carries makes him humorous.

Dorian: Suprisingly, I cried when he died. I could hardly believe that the frightening and oddest character I have ever read of dies by a simple stake. He was all in all strange but a friend of Vlad's near the death and I'm sure his death will be avenged.

Favorite Lines/ Moments:
♥Pg. 7
" 'Look man, I din't want to get all chick-flick on you or anything, but you're my best friend and I almost lost you last time. I can't go through that again. I won't.' "

♥Pg. 35
"It was really annoying how Mr. Kiss Every Girl with a Pulse had morphed into Dr. Phil ever since he and Melissa had gotten serious. Clearly, a monthlong relationship was enough to fill Henry with an abundance of romantic wisdom. Riiiiight."

♥Pg. 75
"Vlad glanced over at Meredith, who was chatting friendlily now with his mortal enemy (well, kinda mortal- Vlad was a vampire, after all.. well, half vampire, anyway."

♥Pg. 129
" 'You're father was not the first vampire to love a human. Roughly two centuries ago, in Paris of all places, I met and fell deeply in love with a woman named Nadya. She was a good, Russian woman. Fair hair, hazel eyes. She was lovely, striking for a human, with a figure that --' Vikas's lips spread into a smile and Vikas shook his head, realizing he was getting into the TMI area."

♥Pg. 169
" 'I'm not sitting by Joss. She can't make me forgive him for all he's done. Why would she even want that?'
'I don't think that's what she's trying to accomplish, Vladimir. I believe she's merely looking for a sense of family around the holiday season. And we... not to mention the McMillans... are her family. No matter how dysfunctional that idea might be to you, Joss or me. Blood doesn't make family, Vladimir. Love does.
'So what do we do?'
'We do what all families do. Grin, bear it, and pass the mashed potatoes.' "

♥Pg. 250
"Then she did something that no words could defend against. She gave him that look. That mom look. The one that said if Vlad didn't get his butt out the front door and fast, she was going to bury him in the backyard and plant daisies of his remains."

♥Pg. 266
" 'Think he's working on some sordid plan to do you in?'
'Count on it. I'm that guy's favorite hobby.'
'Maybe he's changed.'
They exchanged looks and burst out laughing."

♥Pg. 269
"Vlad was still blinking at Otis's casual tone when Otis when Otis stepped into the bar. He'd said it like it was an afterthought. Pick up some milk on your way home, don't forget to pay the electric bill, and oh, be a dear and avenge my death for me, would you?"

Book Review: Tenth Grade Bleeds by Heather Brewer

Title: Tenth Grade Bleeds
Author: Heather Brewer
Pages: 292
Publisher: Speak, an imprint of Penguin Group
Year Published: 2009

"It’s another sucky year at Bathory High for Vladimir Tod. The evil vampire D’Ablo is hunting for the ritual that could steal Vlad’s powers. His best friend Henry doesn’t want to be his drudge anymore. And as if all that weren’t enough, it’s getting harder for Vlad to resist feeding on the people around him. When months go by with no word from Uncle Otis and D’Ablo shows up demanding Vlad’s father’s journal, Vlad realizes that having a normal high school year is the least of his concerns. Vlad needs to act fast, and even his status as the Pravus won’t save him this time . . ." - Amazon

My Rating: 8/10

This series is only getting more and more intense. In this installment Vlad is in his second year of high school and dating the girl of his dreams. It shows a different side off Vlad, the side that is totally in love with Meredith, but thankfully not to mushy.
This book is also less dramatic with suspense. I had to deduct the 2 marks off my rating for that one. When I guess what is going on 1/4 of the way through a book, it's kind of a good way to tick me off (pet peeve). Fortunately, the good sense of humor continues!!!!! I do enjoy a good laugh and with The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, it's not hard to find one.
THANK YOU HEATHER BREWER FOR NOT GOING MUSHY ON US EVEN THOUGH VLAD FELL IN LOVE!

Spoiler: Tenth Grade Bleeds by Heather Brewer

I was slightly disappointed in this novel as it was so predictable. Did anyone else guess that Otis was sending Vlad the dreams? I hope so otherwise I'm far to suspicious. I hope that the next book is slightly more shocking. I still can't get over Heather Brewer's use of humor! I love it so much! A good laugh in any book, makes it a better book, at least in my opinion. I was happy with the use of family and other vampires in this book, we learn alot more about their culture and society.
Let's talk about some characters:
Vlad: The main character in these books has changed alot since we were introduced to him in the first novel. He is slowly changing into a man. I think I like it! Slowly, but surely we witness Vlad breaking out of his shell. Firstly, by dating Meredith and later by hanging out with the goth group. With Meredith he is so loving and kind, that is until he tries to eat her! I felt horrible that he broke up with her at the end, but I guess it was so he didn't kill her. With the goth group, suprising but I figured eventually he'd get the confidence to go and talk to them. There is only so much people watching you can do before you become a stalker. I can hardly wait to read more about Vlad in the next book!!!

Otis: This man must be the best Uncle ever to deal with Vlad's slight stupidity. How could Vlad not know that Otis was sending him the messages/dreams??? Even I guessed it and I'm not the sharpest bulb. In this book, we notice that Otis is falling harder and harder for Nelly, which would be him breaking yet another rule (SHOCKING I KNOW ! :P )  He makes me smile, mostly because of the way he thinks about the world.
Meredith: What a sweetie! I wish that her and Vlad would have worked out, but it appears that he only wishes to eat her at the moment, but I'm sure we'll see her in the third book.
Nelly: Nelly is growing increasingly protective, and with reason. Her 15 year old nephew is growing impressively thirsty. I hope she doesn't think that she'll be next, but it is a possibility. After all he did almost eat his girlfriend.
Henry: A best friend through it all? I think not! We see Vlad and Henry fight alot in this book. Vlad is starting to order Henry around instead of asking and Henry is not going to take it. THAT A BOY!
D'ablo: Will this guy just die? For frick sakes. How much can you live through!?!?!?!?
Ignatius: How crazy is it that Vlad's own grandpa tries to kill him? It was the biggest shock in the book. There was some crazy stuff going on when I read that and I seriously swore extrememly loud about this family drama. Talk about family problems!
Goth Group: This is a group that Vlad branches out to in order to prove Meredith and Henry wrong about stereotyping and everything goes well, that is until he bites Snow. I was disappointed that Vlad didn't tell anyone about them. It's almost like a sexual affair if you think about it.

My Favorite Lines & Moments:
Pg. 21
" 'She's not walking with us. Her dad kinda thinks I might be a serial killer.'
'On account of what, exactly?'
'On account of I'm dating his daughter, I think.' "
♥Pg. 28
"Mr. Cartel cleared his throat and shifted in his seat a little before standing up. he picked up a long wooden pointer and, much to Vlad's horror, smacked the pointer against the nether regions of the man on the poster."
♥Pg. 39
"Suddenly the realization fell on Otis that to a human, the scene around them made it look as though he and Vlad had been making a nice stew out of the neighborhood children."
♥Pg. 79
"Sometimes Vlad wished that he were home-schooled. At least for health class.
Vlad shook his head. Strike that- the last thing he wanted was to listen to Nelly explain where babies came from. With puppets. Again."
♥Pg. 107
" 'Nelly seriously thinks I'm going to have Meredith for dinner.'
Henry shook his head. 'That's ridiculous.'
Vlad groaned. 'I know!'
'Meredith is way too small for dinner. If anything, she'd be lunch, or maybe a big breakfast.' "
♥Pg. 192
" 'So should we hug now, or...?'
Vlad chuckled, putting a hand up. 'Hey man, I missed you. But I didn't miss you that much.' "

Hope you have a great week,
Love,
Sidny♥♪♫

Book Review: Ninth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer

Title: Ninth Grade Slays Author: Heather Brewer Pages: 278 Publisher: Penguin Group Year Published: 2008
"High school totally bites when you’re half human, half vampire. Freshman year sucks for Vlad Tod. Bullies still harass him. The photographer from the school newspaper is tailing him. And failing his studies could be deadly. A trip to Siberia gives “study abroad” a whole new meaning as Vlad connects with other vampires and advances his mind-control abilities, but will he return home with the skills to recognize a vampire slayer when he sees one? In this thrilling sequel to Eighth Grade Bites, Vlad must confront the secrets of the past and battle forces that once again threaten his life. Find out why author D. J. MacHale calls The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod “Gruesome, heartwarming, spellbinding.” My Rating: 9/10 In this book, Vlad is entering High School, scary I know ;), and basically it follows him through this years struggles and successes. I enjoyed this book, but it wasn't all I hoped it would be. The characters from the first book, we get to see develope which is the wonderful thing about any book series. I just don't enjoy the way that new characters are introduced. I find that personally I find the first book in a series hard to follow up, Heather Brewer did a good job, just not a 10/10 job. I didn't like how fast the time passed in this sequel. I found myself having a little trouble keeping up with how quickly time was moving. I still love Vlad :) He's a cutie. So basically that's my take on it. THANK YOU HEATHER BREWER FOR GETTING INSIDE THE TEENAGE WORLD! Hope you guys had a wonderful Tuesday. Love, Sidny♥♪♫

Spoiler: Ninth Grade Slays by Heather Brewer

So as usual, I found that the sequel to a book is never quite as good. Maybe that's because I'm still thinking about how great the first book was, or maybe because it's true. I'm not specifying, just opinonating. Some thing in this book were a little different, such as the way that Joss was introduced. I guessed he was the slayer sinc eabout 1/4 into the book. That kinda kills the suspense. It would have shocked me if Edgar Poe was the actual slayer, wouldn't you be more suprised? Let's talk about the characters some more: Vlad: Oh how our little vamp has grown and into a high school boy. He's an amazing main character who makes me laughed and cry. But mainly laugh, what a goof. He reminds me of one kid in our school, the muse? Perhaps (JUST KIDDING)! I thought Vlad's best moment was when he went to Siberia with Vikas. Henry: Henry kind of disappeared a little in this book. High school made him popular and Vlad wasn't so he bailed slightly. Joss: What a guy?!?!?!?! He was the freaking slayer, DUH! Sorry I'm just a naturally suspicious and I like to guess. I love guessing right, but in a way it is a disappointment when you guess to early in the book. This is one of those times. Otis: I wish he was my uncle! Amazing, caring and wear a top hat? Be jealous guys, be jealous. Vikas: The oldest vampire who is funny, and makes a pretty good blood wine from what I've heard. Jasik: This vampire was an unexpected twist. Favorite/Memorable Lines and Moments: ♥Pg. 7 "One big plus of living with Nelly- who was actually no relation to him at all, but his mother's best friend fro years and years before his parents had passed on - was that she could bake cinnamon rolls so sweet and delicious that if she had the determination and funding she could easily give Cinnabon a run for their money. Just stay away from her meat loaf." ♥Pg. 11 "Vlad had no idea Otis was his uncle at the time, instead believing him to be a maniacal substitue teacher, out to expose Vlad's secret and quite possibly kill him. It was a simple mistake- anyone could have made it." ♥Pg. 12 "I'm sorry, Vladimir, but the rumor that vampires are able to charm women with a leering gaze is utterly ridiculous and completely false. have you tried simply askign Meredith if she likes you? In my experience, the direct approach works best. Calling a girl and breathing into the phone never got anyone a date. Whatever you decide, remember to be a gentleman." ♥Pg. 80 " HIs fangs elongated at the scent of blood, and he did nothing to will them back inside his gums. Sometimes, you gotta let it all hang out." ♥Pg. 120 " 'It's nice to meet you. Otis says you're the oldest vampire he knows.' Vikas smiled warmly. 'He speaks the truth, young one. But he forgetsthat I am also the best looking, most charming, and-' 'Humble. You forgot humble.' Otis was wearing a smirk." Hope you all have a wonderful week if I don't talk to you before the end of it. Love, Sidny♥♪♫

Book Review: Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer

Title: Eighth Grade Bites
Author: Heather Brewer
Pages: 182

"Vladimir Tod. Normal eighth-grade student? or powerful vampire?"
"Junior high really stinks for thirteen-year-old Vladimir Tod. Bullies harrass him, the principal is dogging him, and the girl he likes prefers his best friend. Oh, and Vlad has a secret: His mother was human, but his father was a vampire. With no idea of the extent of his powers and no one to teach him, Vlad struggles daily with his blood cravings, and his enlarged fangs. When a strange substitute teacher begins to question him a little too closely, Vlad worries that his cover is about to be blown. But then he realizes he has a much bigger problem: He's being hunted by a vampire killer who is closing in... fast!"

My Rating: 10/10

I loved this book! I started reading it last night and couldn't put it down until I was yelled at. The way that Heather Brewer tells Vlad's story, is both funny and full of action. I think that she uses both of these things the best way possible. I laughed and gasped in horror in this book, sometimes simultaneously. I love when I book can change moods quickly and effectively. I think this book shows a different side to vampires, it didn't really mimic anything else I've read. It's individual and I believe that it helps all those kids who have at one point been picked on (me included... hard to believe i know :P ). I hope that you all take the time to read this action packed book.
THANK YOU HEATHER BREWER FOR STICKING UP FOR THE UNDERDOG!

Spoiler: Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer

This book possibly made my weekend! I loved the way that Heather Brewer switched quickly from funny to sad to action filled. This kept me interested constantly, so much that I denied my homework (sorry Shakespear). I haven't been hooked to a book like this one for along time. I loved the fact that Vlad wasn't really popular or sought after. He was kind of an outcast except for his best friend. I think it's time to talk about the characters:

Vladimir Tod: This guy is funny and handles most situations with humor. I feel awful that his parents died and are not there to help him go through the teenage years. He is bullied but he doesn't let it get the best of him. He also has a wonderful way of eating, thanks to his Aunt Nelly. I think he is a wonderful vampire and main character!

Henry: He seems like a pretty good bestie. I laughed when I read that Vlad had bitten him and I love how Henry brings it up to bother him, just enough though not to the point of being a pain in the bum.

Nelly: She seems like a great lady to take Vlad in and it seems like she really is his aunt even though she isn't biologically. She takes good care of Vlad and I believe will be there for him in the next book just as much as this one :)

Meredith: What a sweetie :) Meredith + Vlad= ♥

Otis: He is a very funny man. I thought that for sure he had betrayed Vlad when they went to see the council. I was jumping for joy when he turned out to be a good man and not the villian that he pretended to be! He is an amazing uncle, wish that I had one like this :) I mean a vampire of course.

D'Ablo: Ha he died :D

Favorite/Memorable Lines and Moments:

♥Pg. 6
"She handed it to him and widened her eyes in disgust as he bit through the Saran Wrap and slurped. 'Use a spoon! You'll get it all over the rug and I just had it cleaned. between the rug and your T-shirts, the dry cleaner think we're either accident-prone or ax murderers.' "

♥Pg. 12
"The urge to wet his pants was undeniable, but what would Mark and Todd think if they saw? But then why should he care what they thought. They were mean jerks and had run away without him. And when they found out he was dead the next day, they'd feel awful and deserved to."

♥Pg. 15
"He was kidding himself if he though he'd be able to ask Meredith to dance. Girls like Meredith Brookstone didn't date boys like Vladimir Tod.
Besides, they hickeys would be a nightmare.''

♥Pg. 18
" 'Morning, sunshine.'
Vlad blinked at her. 'Morning, sulfuric acid.'
'Pardon me?'
'Well, isn't it just kinda wrong to call a vampire 'sunshine'?' "

♥Pg. 23
" 'When's it due, anyway?'
'Friday.' Henry dropped a clean bone on the plate and looked at vlad. 'How much have you done?'
Vlad raised his eyebrows and smirked. 'Does writing my name at the top of the page count?'
'I don't think so.'
'Doesn't matter. i haven't done that yet anyway.' "

♥Pg. 74
"Not that being a vampire was bizarre or anything, certainly not abnormal. But sometimes, when he was putting on his sunblock in the morning or when Henry would describe the incredible lasagna his mom made, he felt a small pang of jealousy for humans. They had it so easy. Try worrying about your fang popping out at inopportune moments or having to avoid garlic because one taste could make you deathly ill or forcing yourself to stay awake all day even though down to your cellular level, you were more of a night person. Oh yeah- humans had it way easier, as far as Vlad was concerned."

♥Pg. 90
"I never intended to fall in love with Mellina. She was to be a meal, a taste of human blood, nothing more."

♥Pg. 98
" The classroom looked like Cupid had thrown up all over it."

♥Pg. 150
" 'Are you saying vampires invented cities?'
'Quite. What better place for a superior race to hide then at the heart of an enormous population, where the buildings are always busy despite the time of day, where large numbers of people live in realitvely small are, and a dead body is discounted as just another victim?' He smiled, obviously proud of his heritage- of their heritage. 'We also invented latin, chess and PlayStation.'
Vlad shifted in his seat. he could believe Otis's story about old stuff like Latin and chess, but PlayStation? Puh-lease. 'I thought that was Sony's idea.'
'Who do you think runs Sony?' "

♥Pg. 178
"The sky was bright pink and gold. Vlad watched Otis drive off into the sunrise, like some sory of vampire cowboy."

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter (if you don't celebrate Easter, I hope you had a wonderful day or night).
